INF Jhonny Bethencourt activated from the 7-day Injured List

The Chicago Cubs have announced the following roster moves that impact the Myrtle Beach Pelicans roster:
INF Jhonny Bethencourt has been activated from the 7-day Injured List
INF Wladimir Galindo has been placed on the 7-day Injured List
Bethencourt, who played in 38 games with the Pelicans before going on the Injured List on May 27, returns to Myrtle Beach. In those 38 games, Bethencourt hit .188/.276/.231 while playing second, third and shortstop for the Birds. Bethencourt played all of 2018 with the Low-A South Bend Cubs, hitting .274/.318/.381 over 64 games and the infielder was named an MiLB.com Organizational All-Star in 2017, hitting .272/.357/.390 with 17 stolen bases over 63 games with Short Season Low A Eugene. Bethencourt was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Cubs in December of 2014.
Bethencourt will wear No. 13. The Pelicans roster now sits at 25 active players with eight on the Injured List.
