INF Carmen Angelini Promoted To Thunder

The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced Tuesday that INF Carmen Angelini has been promoted to the team from Class A-Advanced Tampa. He is expected to make his Double-A debut this evening at ARM & HAMMER Park against Binghamton at 7:05 pm.

Additionally, RHP Graham Stoneburner has been promoted back to Triple-A Scranton and INF Ali Castillo has been transferred to Tampa.

Angelini, a 10th-round draft pick by the Yankees in 2007 from Barbe High School in Lake Charles, Louisiana, batted .312 with five home runs and 22 RBI in 32 games with Tampa this season. He has battled multiple injuries in his career and has missed almost all of the past three seasons. Angelini played in just nine total games between 2010-2012.

Castillo had been the Thunder's everyday shortstop since his promotion from Tampa in mid-April. He batted .218 in 46 games with 22 RBI.

This is Stoneburner's third promotion from Trenton To Scranton this season. He has pitched in four games with the Thunder and gone 0-0 with one save and a 2.57 ERA in seven innings pitched.
