Spokane, WASH. - The Indians had five different batters record multiple hits but struggled with runners in scoring position as they dropped the series finale to Tri-City, 7-3, in front of 3,274 fans at Avista Stadium for the Native Culture Day Game presented by the Spokane Tribe of Indians.
SUNDAY'S TOP PERFORMERS
- Warming Bernabel connected on a home run for the second straight night- a solo shot in the sixth inning.
- Hunter Goodman finished 2-for-4 including his first home run with the Indians and his 23rd overall on the season.
-The red-hot Julio Carreras had a pair of base knocks to extend his hitting streak to 11 games.
- Newcomer Mason Green struck out seven over five innings while allowing two earned runs on nine hits.
AROUND THE NORTHWEST LEAGUE
Hillsboro (37-42) scored three times in the sixth and four times in the eighth in their 9-4 win over Eugene (46-32).
Saturday, July 9th - Spokane got six strong innings from starter Joe Rock and a three-run homer from Warming Bernabel as they cruised to an 8-0 shutout win over Tri-City in front of a sellout crowd of 6,860 fans at Avista Stadium for Star Wars Night & Fireworks presented by Your Local Toyota Dealers, KXLY 4 News Now, & KEY 101.
Friday, July 8th - The Spokane Indians took a 6-0 lead into the ninth inning and then held off a furious rally from Tri-City as they topped the visiting Dust Devils, 6-4, in front of a sellout crowd of 6,820 fans at Avista Stadium for Family Feast Night presented by Yoke's Fresh Market, KAYU FOX 28, & 92.9 ZZU.
Thursday, July 7th - The visiting Dust Devils scored at least one run in eight different innings as they cruised to an 11-1 win over the Spokane Indians in front of 3,109 fans at Avista Stadium for College Alumni Night presented by Vizzy Hard Seltzer.
Wednesday, July 6th - Spokane scored in each of the game's final two frames but couldn't quite put the finishing touches on a comeback as they fell to the visiting Dust Devils, 4-3, in front of 3,480 fans at Avista Stadium for Christmas in July Night presented by Wake Up Call Coffee.
Monday, July 4th - Spokane shortstop Julio Carreras capped off a perfect night at the ballpark with a three-run walk-off homer as the Indians stunned the Dust Devils, 8-7, in front of a sellout crowd of 6,854 fans at Avista Stadium for 4th of July Fireworks presented by R'nR RV Center &
