SPOKANE, Wash. - Everett's Taylor Zeutenhorst hit a two-run home run to right field in the 12th inning, giving the AquaSox an 8-5 victory over the Spokane Indians in front of 4,554 fans at Avista Stadium on Wednesday night. It was Fan Appreciation Night presented by Rock 94 ½ and KXLY-AM 920. The win clinched the second-half title for the AquaSox, and eliminated the Indians from postseason contention.

Spokane screamed out to an early three-run lead in the first inning after Darius Day singled, advanced to third on an error and finally scored on a wild pitch. Leon Byrd Jr., doubled home LeDarious Clark and Sherman Lacrus.

In the fifth inning with the bases loaded, Dean Long scored on a balk from AquaSox pitcher Rohn Pierce. In the same at-bat, Day scored on a passed ball.

Day finished 3-for-6 with two runs scored and one double. Clark went 0-for-2 with one run scored and three walks.

Spokane starter Emerson Martinez tossed 4.2 innings and allowed four runs - one earned - with one strikeout. Cole Wiper pitched a near-perfect three innings late in the game to lower his ERA to 4.00. Indians utility man Diego Cedeno made his pitching debut, getting the final out in the 12th.
