Boise Hawks News Release
Boise, Idaho - The Hops scored early and often on Thursday night as they shutdown the Hawks bats and took the final game of the series by score of 12-0.
Ryan McCormick took the mound for the Hawks and gave up one run in the first inning and a five spot in the third inning before exiting after the fourth.
The Hops continued to score, adding a run in the fourth on a Trevor Mitsui RBI sacrifice fly before once again tagging the Hawks pitching staff for a five spot, this time in the eighth inning.
The Hawks were unable to pull together a late rally as they dropped the game and the series to the Hillsboro Hops.
The Hawks (15-20) will welcome the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes (17-17) to Memorial Stadium for the final series of the season. First pitch is set for 6:45 p.m. tomorrow night.
Notes: Jensen Park left the game in the eighth inning with a non-contact injury... He was replaced by Marcos Derkes...The Hawks were unable to move a runner past second base... Wesley Jones went 1 for 3 with a double... Ryan McCormick picked up his second loss of the season.
