
Kennedy and Company Shut out Canadians

Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
The Tri-City Dust Devils pitching staff was excellent as they shut out the Vancouver Canadians 1-0 Wednesday night at Gesa Stadium. Second baseman Mitch Morales drove in the lone run for Tri-City.
Brett Kennedy started it off for the Dust Devils (16-18 Second Half, 38-34 Overall), pitching the first three innings Wednesday night. Kennedy allowed just one hit and a walk, adding a pair of strikeouts on the night. Tri-City newcomer Will Headean (1-0) kept it going, striking out five Canadians (15-19 Second Half, 31-41 Overall) hitters over 2 2/3 innings, allowing just two hits and earning his first win. Wilson Santos pitched a perfect ninth inning and got his second save of the season.
Morales' RBI came as he reached on an error in the fifth inning. He finished the night going 1-for-3 for the Dust Devils. First baseman Nick Vilter had Tri-City's only other hit for the night. Vilter went 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored.
Vancouver starting pitcher Josh DeGraaf (2-2) took the loss, allowing the game's lone run and two hits. DeGraaf went six innings for the Canadians, striking out four and walking one.
Tri-City will play their final game of this three game series against the Canadians Thursday night at 7:15 p.m. at Gesa Stadium. It will be the final meeting between the two teams in 2015.
