The Indians broke open a close game with five runs in the eighth as they outshined the Emeralds, 9-3, in front of 3,778 fans at Avista Stadium for Dollars in Your Dog Night presented by KREM 2 & Rock 94 1/2. Spokane finished the season's first half with a record of 38-26 (.594) and will have have homefield advantage in the Northwest League Playoffs against the circuit's second-half winner.
TOP PERFORMERS
Sean Sullivan allowed just two earned runs over five frames and now ranks seventh in the NWL with a 2.50 ERA. The southpaw out of Wake Forest struck out four against one walk and boasts an impressive 76 K/6 BB mark in 11 starts this season.
Kyle Karros finished 3-for-5 with an RBI while GJ Hill, Dyan Jorge, Jesus Ordonez, and Jean Perez all had a pair of hits in the win.
