ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Right fielder Jon Nunnally, catcher Ronny Paulino, second baseman Cesar Crespo and left fielder Nate McLouth collected three hits apiece as Indianapolis pounded out 18 base knocks -- including three home runs -- in a 13-5 victory over Rochester Saturday evening at Frontier Field.

Nunnally finished 3-for-4 with one run, while Paulino went 3-for-5 with three runs, one HR and two RBI, McLouth turned in a 3-for-5 performance with two runs, one HR and two RBI and Crespo added a 3-for-6 night with three scores, one HR and four runs driven in.

The Indians, who re-claim first place in the International League's West Division, improve to 38-24 with the win. The Red Wings fall to 32-31 on the season.

Indianapolis cracked the scoreboard with four runs in the top of the third. Paulino ripped a shot up the first-base line for an infield single. Nunnally walked and SS Shaun Skrehot followed by dropping a sacrifice bunt to put two runners in scoring position with one out. Crespo then plastered his fifth roundtripper of the season -- a three-run shot to left field -- to put Indianapolis ahead, 3-0. The inning continued when CF Chris Duffy and DH Yurendell de Caster recorded back-to-back singles to put runners on the corners. The duo then executed a double steal to perfection as Duffy crossed home plate with the Tribe's fourth run of the frame.

The Red Wings responded with a pair of solo home runs in the bottom of the third. SS Jason Bartlett led off by launching his second roundtripper of the campaign, while LF Kevin West smoked his seventh dinger of the season with two outs.

The Indians answered the call, reeling off one run in the fourth, three in the fifth, one in the seventh and four in the ninth to open up an advantage that Rochester could not overcome. McLouth blasted his second roundtripper of the season -- a solo shot to center -- in the seventh, while Paulino ripped his first dinger since joining Indianapolis -- a two-run shot to left -- in the ninth.

Indianapolis RHP Jeff Miller (3.1 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 SO) earned his first victory of the season, improving to 1-3. Rochester LHP Dave Gassner (4.2 IP, 9 H, 8 R, 8 ER, 1 BB, 3 SO) was tagged with the loss, falling to 4-4.

The first pitch was thrown at 8:43 p.m. EDT as the contest was delayed one hour and 38 minutes due to rain.

The two teams return to Frontier Field Sunday afternoon at 12:35 p.m., for game two of the four-game set. The contest will be carried by ESPN-950 AM as Howard Kellman and Robert Portnoy have the call. Sunday's pre-game show begins at 12:15 p.m.
