
Indians and AT&T Bring MLB Legends

INDIANAPOLIS - Courtesy of an exciting new association with AT&T, fans at Victory Field will have a chance to get autographs from four MLB all-time greats as part of Signature Saturdays during the 2013 season. The autograph sessions, sponsored by AT&T, begin in just two days with former Pittsburgh Pirates great Dave Parker followed by Ozzie Smith, Cecil Cooper and Lou Brock later in the season.
"We are delighted to sponsor this opportunity for fans, and to team up with the Indianapolis Indians," said Brian Ducharme, vice president and general manager for AT&T Indiana and Michigan. "We look forward to a fun-filled season connecting Indians fans on our fast 4G LTE network as they download, upload, stream and communicate while at Victory Field." AT&T is the official wireless communication provider of the Indianapolis Indians.
All autograph sessions will run for two hours from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a limit of one autograph per person. Fans at these games will also have the opportunity to try fantastic new smartphones and tablets. Plus, they can charge their phone and register for great prizes including a VIP Indians game experience all at the AT&T tent next to the players.
SATURDAY, APRIL 27: DAVE PARKER
Fans will be treated to an autograph session with the 1978 National League Most Valuable Player and seven-time MLB All-Star Dave Parker on Saturday, April 27 at Victory Field. A former Pittsburgh Pirate, Parker produced 14 hits in 10 playoff games to help lead the Bucs to their 1979 World Series title. His 19-year career also includes two batting titles, three Gold Glove Awards and three Silver Slugger Awards.
SATURDAY, JUNE 8: OZZIE SMITH
MLB Hall-of-Famer and 13-time Gold Glove Award winner Ozzie "The Wizard" Smith is scheduled to make an appearance at Victory Field on Saturday, June 8, in an autograph session Tribe fans won't want to miss. Over his 19-year Major League career, Smith was selected to 15 All-Star squads, led the St. Louis Cardinals to the 1982 World Series title, won a Silver Slugger Award and was named the recipient of both the Roberto Clemente Award and Lou Gehrig Memorial Award for sportsmanship and integrity on and off the field.
SATURDAY, JUNE 29: CECIL COOPER
On Saturday, June 29, Cecil Cooper, a five-time MLB All-Star and two-time RBI champion, will be on hand to sign autographs at Victory Field. Cooper won the Silver Slugger Award three straight years from 1980-82, and following his retirement as a player, managed Indianapolis during the 2003 & 2004 seasons, before returning to the professional ranks as the manager of the Houston Astros from 2007-09.
SATURDAY, JULY 27: LOU BROCK
The Victory Field faithful will be treated to a second MLB Hall-of-Famer appearance on Saturday, July 27 when the all-time National League steals leader, Lou Brock, holds an autograph session before the Tribe's evening contest. Brock's illustrious career also features two World Series titles, six All-Star selections, NL Comeback Player of the Year in 1979 and several other various accolades including a Babe Ruth Award for his standout performance during the 1967 playoffs, Roberto Clemente Award and Lou Gehrig Memorial Award.
NOTE: Lou Brock will not sign bats or jerseys.
