
Independent Panel Denies Alberth Elis Red Card Appeal

Houston Dynamo FC News Release
NEW YORK - The Independent Panel, consisting of one representative from the United States Soccer Federation, one representative from the Canadian Soccer Association, and one representative nominated from the Professional Referee Organization, has denied the Houston Dynamo's appeal of the red card issued to forward Alberth Elis in the 90+ minute of Houston's match against Sporting Kansas City on August 4 (VIDEO).
Elis will serve his red card suspension during the Dynamo's next MLS Regular Season match against Columbus Crew SC on Saturday, August 11.
Each club is entitled to two unsuccessful appeals per season, including playoffs. Houston has one unsuccessful appeal remaining for the 2018 season (including the playoffs).
