Des Moines, IA - The Iowa Cubs are celebrating America's birthday with a pre-game Citizenship Naturalization Ceremony on the Fourth of July and post-game fireworks on the fourth and fifth of July.

The Iowa Cubs play the Albuquerque Isotopes, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, beginning at 7:05 p.m. Sunday, July 4 and Monday, July 5. For the second year in a row, Principal Park will provide the backdrop for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services as over 30 area residents become U.S. citizens and take the Oath of Allegiance in a pre-game ceremony on July 4.

The Citizenship Naturalization Ceremony was also named one of the Top 10 Minor League promotions by ESPN.com. On July 4 and 5 the first 5,000 fans will receive mini American flags and Holiday fireworks shows will cap off both nights.

The Iowa Cubs play one game against the Omaha Royals on July 1 and fireworks, sponsored by Casey's, will follow the game. The Cubs then return home July 4-11 to play the Albuquerque Isotopes and New Orleans Zephyrs.
