Brampton Beast News Release

On Friday July 26th , the Central Hockey League released the official 2013-2014 regular season schedule. It outlines all 66 home and away games for the Brampton Beast Hockey Club. Not only does this launch professional hockey in Brampton, it also introduces the Central Hockey League to Canada for the very first time.

President and GM, Cary Kaplan, announced that the Beast are proud to be the first ever Canadian team to play in this league. He stated: "The Beast will have the first puck drop of the 2013-2014 season for the Central Hockey League which will set a great precedence for hockey in Brampton and its surrounding communities." As a firm believer in making this Brampton's team, Kaplan emphasized that each home game played at the Powerade Centre is guaranteed to provide exceptional entertainment both on and off the ice.

The Beast are excited to launch their Opening Weekend against the Arizona Sundogs, Central Hockey League affiliate of the NHL Phoenix Coyotes. This series will feature a home game on Friday, October 18th; Sunday, October 20th; and Monday, October 21th. Brampton will then face an early season test when the Allen Americans come to town from November 7-10. The Americans are the reigning Ray Miron Presidents' Cup Champions, following a gruelling game 7 overtime win. The regular season extends until March, with 15 of the last 19 games taking place at home. Kaplan stated that this scheduling will be favourable and allow the team to finish strong while battling for a spot in playoffs.

For fans, this inaugural season will undoubtedly be something to remember. Along with high-intensity hockey, the Beast and Powerade Centre are promising a memorable experience for those of all ages with an opening laser light show and promotional giveaway for all 33 home games.
