MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact unveiled on Sunday its list of 11 protected players in preparation for the expansion draft taking place this Tuesday at 2pm.
Los Angeles FC, who will play its inaugural MLS season in 2018, can pick five players among those who are not protected from other teams.
Players who are members of the Generation adidas program who haven't graduated at the end of the 2017 season, as well as Homegrown Players on the Supplemental or Reserve roster, are excluded from the process.
The Impact has therefore protected goalkeeper Evan Bush, defenders Victor Cabrera, Laurent Ciman, Chris Duvall, Kyle Fisher, Daniel Lovitz, and Ambroise Oyongo, as well as midfielders Blerim Dzemaili, Marco Donadel, Ignacio Piatti, and Samuel Piette.
Teams can lose up to one player maximum during the expansion draft.
