Published on December 12, 2017 under Major League Soccer (MLS) News Release
SAN DIEGO / NEW YORK - Major League Soccer (MLS) today announced a multi-year sponsorship deal with JLab Audio, the fastest growing major headphone brand1. Under the terms of the new agreement - JLab Audio's largest partnership to date - the California-based company becomes Major League Soccer's first Official Audio Partner.
JLab Audio's current success as the fastest growing major audio brand makes for an ideal fit with MLS, a League that is growing in all business metrics and expanding to 23 teams in 2018 and eventually 28 teams. To celebrate the partnership, JLab is offering fans a chance to win the ultimate experience at the 2018 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target in Atlanta, plus additional prizes, in their #FINDYOURGOAL Sweepstakes at jlabaudio.com/mls.
"JLab is super excited to continue our growth by connecting with the fastest-growing sports league in the U.S.," said CEO Win Cramer. "This partnership is a perfect match - blending JLab's focus on value and authenticity with the most loyal and passionate fans in all of sports. Moreover, we'll get to introduce our brand and products to the next generation of soccer players and fans alike. We're thrilled!"
The partnership focuses on connecting players and fans with JLab Audio's wireless products and getting both excited about the game. In celebration of the announcement, each member of the 2017 MLS Cup championship team will receive a yet-to-be released pair of Epic Sport Wireless Earbuds in an exclusive new color, JLab blue (available at retail in early 2018). The 22nd annual championship game will take place on Saturday, December 9 at 4 p.m. ET (ESPN, UniMás, TSN, TVA).
"We'd like to welcome JLab Audio to the MLS family," said Carter Ladd, Vice President of Business Development, MLS. "This is an example of two growing, increasingly relevant brands partnering to continue their upward trajectory. We look forward to working with our new partners at JLab for many years to come."
Under the partnership JLab Audio will have a strong presence during pre-game warmups and will work with players to access wireless products. The company will also receive field-level signage in nationally-televised matches and curated custom athlete playlists, powered by JLab Audio, that will be hosted on MLS channels.
Along with the national MLS partnership, JLab will also be the official partner of the five-time MLS Cup champions the LA Galaxy. As a part of the agreement, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, JLab will have exclusive opportunities at the LA Galaxy's home field, the StubHub Center, including a JLab branded DJ booth for fans to enjoy during the pre-game experience. The partnership also offers the team a more immersive audio experience for its players and includes digital signage on the scoreboard and at field level.
