Tri-City Storm News Release
KEARNEY, Neb - Tri-City Storm forward Radoslav Illo finished his World Junior Tournament with another goal against the Czech Republic, but Slovakia fell to their neighboring rivals 5-2 in a relegation match in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Monday night.
Illo, a native of Bystrica, Slovokia, ended the tournament with two goals, three assists and a minus-1 in six games.
He was named the player of the game for Slovakia against the United States in the first game of the tournament.
This season, Illo has 13 goals and seven assists in 19 games for the Storm. He has missed 10 of the last 12 games for Tri-City due to illness and the World Junior Championships.
The 19-year old was drafted last June in the fifth round of the NHL Entry Draft by the Anaheim Ducks with the 136th overall pick.
Illo is expected to rejoin the Storm this week and could be in the lineup this weekend, as the Storm host the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders Friday night at the Viaero Event Center.
