Idaho Comeback Falls Short in Loss to Armor

BOISE, Idaho, February 21, 2013 - Durrell Summers had his second straight strong game, finishing with 24 points and four rebounds, but the Idaho Stampede lost to the Springfield Armor 109-104. Coby Karl added 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Idaho (10-20).

The Stampede trailed by as many as 15 points in the third quarter and pulled to within 1 with 3:12 left, but couldn't pull ahead as the Armor got balanced scoring in the fourth, including a 10-of-13 free throw line effort. Kris Joseph finished with 27 points, while Willie Reed added 23 points and 11 rebounds. Ben Uzoh had 16 points, five assists and four steals and Justin Johnson and Christian Polk both added 10 for Springfield (11-21).

Justin Holiday had 12 points, while Justin Harper had 14 points, six rebounds and four steals and Seth Tarver added 15 points. Idaho's starting five made just 3-of-12 three-pointers, and the team made just 5-of-17 (29.4 percent) on the night.

Idaho next takes off for an eight-game, seven-city, 14-day road trip. The Stampede will first play Reno on Sunday at 4 p.m. before playing the Los Angeles D-Fenders at 8 p.m. live on CBS Sports Network.
