Idaho announces Opening-Night roster

Idaho Steelheads News Release
(Boise, ID) - Head coach and director of hockey operations Hardy Sauter announced his Opening-Night roster on Thursday, a list of 20 players that includes 15 who have dressed for the Steelheads before.
Forwards: Geoff Irwin*, Marty Flichel*, Matt McKnight*, Mark Derlago*, John Swanson*, Cody Purves, Kael Mouilleirat*, John-Scott Dickson*, Michael Neal*, Matt Tassone.
Defensemen: Dustin Friesen*, Steven Oleksy*, Brendan Milnamow*, Mike Gabinet*, Dustin Molle*, Lane Caffaro, Tyler Ludwig, Guillaume Monast*.
Goaltenders: Tyler Beskorowany*, Billy Blase.
* - denotes player who has been on Steelheads roster before
Defensemen Cody Lampl (3-Day), Weston Tardy (21-Day), and forward Justin Taylor (7-Day) will start the regular season on the ECHL Injured List. Both Lampl and Tardy are returning players as well.
Neal, Tassone, Ludwig, Monast, and Beskorowany have been assigned to Idaho by their affiliates - the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League and Texas Stars of the American Hockey League. Beskorowany was a second-round draft pick (59th player selected overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
The Steelheads open the regular season on October 15 when they host the Victoria Salmon Kings at Qwest Arena.
