Season Opening, 21-Man Roster Announced

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks and the American Hockey League's Oklahoma City Barons and Worcester Sharks, announced the team's active season opening roster for the 2010-11 regular season is set at 21 players (2 goaltenders, 19 skaters).

BREAKING DOWN THE ROSTER Returning from last year's team that advanced to the National Conference Final of the Kelly Cup Playoffs are the following nine players: Anthony Aiello, Ryan Constant, Chris D'Alvise, Garet Hunt (currently on loan to Worcester of the AHL), Trevor Hunt, Daryl Marcoux, Jason Pitton, Craig Valette and Steve Vanoosten.

Five players are on the Thunder active roster who have skated in training camp or rookie camp with the Edmonton Oilers or Oklahoma City Barons: Anthony Aiello, Mark Arcobello, Jesse Gimblett, Scott Howes and Steve Vanoosten.

Seven players are on the Thunder active roster who have skated in training camp or rookie camp with the San Jose Sharks or Worcester Sharks: Tyson Sexsmith, Cameron Brodie, Ryan Constant, Chris D'Alvise, Matt Jones, Chris Lawrence and Craig Valette.

Ten players on the Thunder active roster measure at 6-foot-1 or taller: Anthony Aiello (6-1), Cameron Brodie (6-1), Jesse Gimblett (6-3), Matt Jones (6-4), Chris Lawrence (6-4), Jim McKenzie (6-2), Jason Pitton (6-2), Chase Ryan (6-2), Steve Vanoosten (6-1) and Craig Valette (6-1).
