Rockford faces Charlotte for the last time on home ice during the 2015-16 regular season. On Tuesday night, the last time the two squads met, the IceHogs pulled off a 1-0 victory on a power-play goal from Mark McNeill with just over 10 minutes remaining in the game. Starting against his former team for the first time, goaltender Drew MacIntyre registered his first shutout of the season. The next time the Central Division opponents meet will be in a pair of games April 5 and 6 in Charlotte.

Both teams come in to this afternoon's game playing their third game in three nights and are looking to rebound after losses the previous night. Rockford continued to feel overtime woes by recording their eighth overtime loss of the season in a 4-3 decision against Chicago. Meanwhile, the Checkers were handed a 6-2 defeat at the hands of the Milwaukee Admirals.

The IceHogs fell to third place in the Central Division while the Milwaukee Admirals advanced to second on the strength of their victory over Charlotte coupled with Rockford's post-regulation loss to Chicago.
