
IceHogs Clinch Playoff Spot, Head To Texas For Final 3 Games

With a win over the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday at the Rockford MetroCentre, the Rockford IceHogs punched their ticket for the 2010 Calder Cup playoffs. The team also set season and per game attendance records on Saturday thanks to their sixth sellout of the season while dropping their final regular season home contest to Milwaukee. The regular season comes to an end in Week 28 with a trip to Texas to face Houston, Texas and San Antonio.

-The IceHogs clinched their third consecutive Calder Cup playoff berth on Friday with a win over Lake Erie

-The Hogs improved to 23-8-3-3 in one-goal games this season after Rockford's 2-1 win over Lake Erie on Friday
-A total of 55 percent of Rockford's wins in 2009-10 have come by a single-goal margin
Hot Hog Week 27:
Goalie Corey Crawford backstopped the IceHogs to a 2-1 win over the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday, clinching the team's third straight Calder Cup playoff appearance. The netminder stopped 32 of 33 shots. Crawford is 4-2-0 since March 13 and has not allowed four goals in a game since March 7. The Montreal, Quebec native has a .588 winning percentage (22-16-2) in 2009-10 after starting the season 5-7-1.
Upcoming Games:
Tuesday, April 6 at Houston Aeros: Game time is 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs take their roud tour to Texas for a set of three games. The first stop is the Toyota Center for the final game of the season against the Houston Aeros. It is the eighth match-up between the two teams.
Friday, April 9 at Texas Stars: The Rockford IceHogs face-off with the Texas Stars in a potential Calder Cup playoff preview at 7:30 p.m. It is the final of four visits to the Cedar Park Center in the 2009-10 regular season.
Saturday, April 10 at San Antonio Rampage: Game time is 7:05 p.m. The 2009-10 regular season comes to an end at the AT&T Center as the Rockford IceHogs take on the San Antonio Rampage. It is the final of eight meetings between the two teams.
