IceGators to visit Fort Polk, at The Home Depot tomorrow

Lafayette, LA â The Louisiana IceGators will visit Fort Polk military base on February 12, giving a hockey clinic and signing autographs, the team announced Wednesday. February is a big month for the IceGators in the community, and the action actually starts tomorrow â when captain Bobby Brown and John DePourcq will appear at The Home Depot Grand Opening at the Northgate Mall.
"We are proud to announce our visit to Fort Polk and a busy community schedule in February," said IceGators community and media relations director Ryan Stanzel. "With the uncertainty in our country right now, the Fort Polk visit is a great way to show our support for America."
The IceGators television show, "Chomp Time," will be taping a special segment during the visit, which will see the players put on a hockey clinic for the troops and their children and sign autographs.
Brown and DePourcq will be at The Home Depot on Thursday from 1:30-3 p.m. for the store's Grand Opening.

· Tuesday, Feb. 4 â Reading with the Gators at Breaux Bridge Elementary

· Monday, Feb. 10 â Daspit Elementary school visit, reward for participation in "Nickel Harvest"
· Wednesday, Feb. 12 â FORT POLK VISIT
· Friday, Feb. 21 â Ridge Elementary "Just Say No" Program
· Saturday, Feb. 22 â IceGators media and community relations director Ryan Stanzel will be emcee of the "Krewe de Karencro" Mardi Gras Ball at the Holidome.
