GREENSBORO GENERALS
The Generals wrapped up a perfect 3-0 road trip by defeating the Columbia Inferno 3-1 last Saturday. The Generals' got the scoring started midway through the first period on Roman Marakhovski's second goal of the season, but Columbia tied it up in the second on a Barrie Moore score. It stayed tied into the third period, when the Generals pulled away for the victory. Pete Gardiner scored the eventual game-winning goal while shorthanded two minutes into the final frame. Matt Chandler then provided the Generals with an insurance goal five minutes later. Daniel Berthiaume made 34 stops to earn the victory.
SOUTH CAROLINA STINGRAYS
The Stingrays defeated the Columbus Cottonmouths 4-2 on the road last Friday. The Stingrays spotted Columbus an early 1-0 lead, but Mike Jickling tied it up later in the period. South Carolina took the lead for good by scoring the only two goals of the second period off the sticks of Joel Irving and Brent Henley for a 3-1 advantage. Jickling's second goal of the night in the third period finished off a four-goal run for a commanding 4-1 lead, and the Stingrays coasted from there, allowing the last goal of the game in the final minute of play. Kirk Daubenspeck made 25 saves to pick up the win.

¨ 1/28 Goaltender Sebastien Centomo was reassigned to the Generals by the St. John's Maple Leafs (AHL).

¨ 1/29 Defenseman Juraj Slovak was activated from the 7-day injured list.
¨ 1/23 Activated right wing Joel Irving from the 7-day injured list.
¨ 1/27 Waived goaltender Dean Weasler.
¨ 1/28 Acquired goaltender David Brumby from the Augusta Lynx for future considerations.
NOTES & NUMBERS
¨ The Generals set a franchise record on Saturday by earning their 60th point of the season.
¨ The Generals are currently riding a league season-high seven game road winning streak, and are unbeaten in their last eleven road games (9-0-2).
¨ Daniel Berthiaume had his franchise record shutout streak snapped last Saturday at 135 minutes, 58 seconds.
¨ David Whitworth's next assist will break a tie with Sal Manganaro for the most all-time assists as a General at 85.
¨ Rod Taylor's next point will make him the ECHL's All-Time leading scorer. He's currently tied with Darryl Noren (who is in attendance tonight) with 685 points.
¨ Kirk Daubenspeck leads all ECHL goalies in games (38), wins (23), saves (1131) and minutes (2235).
¨ Dave Seitz has 16 points (4g, 12a) in the last ten games, and Adam Calder has 15 points (6g, 9a) in the same stretch.
¨ The Stingrays are second in the league with a 22.4% power play percentage on the road. ABOUT THE GAME
This is the second of three meetings of the season between the Generals and the Stingrays, and the final of two games at the Greensboro Coliseum. The Generals defeated South Carolina 2-1 in a ten-round shootout on November 29. The two teams will square off for the final time in Charleston, S.C. on March 12 in the return of Generals head coach and former Stingrays coach Rick Adduono. NEXT HOME GAME: The Generals only other home game for the next two weeks is tomorrow night at 7:00 against the Roanoke Express, in a game that will mark the debut of Roanoke's new head coach Tony MacAulay.
