January 29, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL)
Wheeling Nailers News Release
Wheeling, WV â The Wheeling Nailers announced today that they will sell all tickets for the Saturday, February 1st game at a reduced rate in cooperation with the American Heart Association's "Operation Heart Beat."
Tickets for all children 14 and under will be just $3.00 anywhere in the Wheeling Civic Center and $10.00 for all adults with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the American Heart Association.
The American Heart Association spent about $382 million during the fiscal year 2001-2002 on research, support, public and professional education and community programs. "This is a great way for the Wheeling Nailers to help out a great cause in conjunction with "Operation Heart Beat," stated Fred Traynor, CEO of the Wheeling Nailers.
In addition to reduced tickets, there will be a "Skate with the Nailers" immediately following the Nailers game vs. Mississippi on Saturday, February 1, 2003 beginning at 12:00pm. All participants will need their own set of skates and their own pair of gloves to participate in the "Skate with the Nailers."
The Nailers play back-to-back home games Friday and Saturday. Friday the Nailers host the Augusta Lynx at 7:30pm, and then on Saturday the Nailers host the Mississippi Seawolves at 12:00pm. For tickets call the Wheeling Civic Center Box Office at (304) 232-4470.
