Game Preview For the 142nd time since the 1974-75 season, the K-Wings will host the Fort Wayne Komets at Wings Stadium. Without question, the K-Wings and Komets have one of the biggest rivalries in minor league history. Tonight's game is the fourth of seven meetings between the teams this year.

Fort the K-Wings tonight is the fourth of five consecutive games at Wings Stadium. Kalamazoo is just 1-2-0 during their home stand. Tonight is a big game for Kalamazoo; the K-Wings are just 4 points out of fourth place in the Western Conference. With Rockford idle tonight, a K-Wings victory will propel them to within 2 points of a playoff spot.

Fort Wayne enters the contest atop the Eastern Conference. The "Beast of the East" has risen to the top of the Eastern Conference mainly though a tough defense and stingy goaltending. Tom Lawson enters the game with a minuscule 1.91 GAA, which leads all goaltenders in the UHL. Kelly Perrault leads the Komets in scoring, Kelly's 48 points also leads all UHL defenseman in the same category.

The game will also feature the top players in the UHL last week. K-Wing Jim Brown was named the UHL Player of the Week after netting 5 goals in just two games. On the other side, Fort Wayne's Tom Lawson nabbed his fourth Goaltender of the Week award after posting a perfect 3-0-0 record and a GAA of 1.67. Cominetti Released The Kalamazoo Wings have waived forward Glendon Cominetti. Glendon spent a majority of the season on the IR and was limited to just 14 games this season.

Lightbody Added to the IR The K-Wings have placed defenseman Quade Lightbody on the 10-day injured reserve list. Lightbody was injured during the K-Wings game last Saturday versus Muskegon.

Brown Named Player of the Week The UHL has named forward Jim Brown it's Sher-Wood Player of the Week for week 16 of the season. Brown tallied 5 goals in just two games for the K-Wings.

Three's Company Besides being named Player of the Week, Brown will also carry a point streak into his game on Wednesday. Brown enters the week on a three game scoring streak. Jim has scored 5 goals and 1 assist in his last 3 games.

Five Alive Despite their loss to Muskegon on Saturday, the K-Wings have been finds ways to win. Kalamazoo enters the week winners of five of their last eight games.
