The IceDogs held a 2-1 lead over the Kitchener Rangers Friday night in Kitchener, before the game was cancelled due to ice conditions.

Darby Llewellyn gave the Rangers a 1-0 early in the first period. The IceDogs answered back just over five minutes later as Aleksandar Mikulovich's point shot found a way through traffic and beat Jordan DeKort on the blocker side. Vince Dunn gave the IceDogs the lead on the power play after he finished of a pass from Anthony DiFruscia.

After the goal, the period was cut short due to a bad spot in the ice. The game was delayed for over a half hour before it was determined that the game couldn't continue with the ice in that condition.

The IceDogs will be back in action tomorrow night in Oshawa as they take on the Generals for the second time in the preseason.
