
IceDogs Beat Steelheads 5-2

The Niagara IceDogs used a total team effort to beat the Mississauga Steelheads 5-2 Saturday night at the Meridian Centre.
Anthony DiFruscia got things started for the IceDogs in the first period, scoring a pair of goals to put them up 2-0.
Stefan LeBlanc got one back for the Steelheads at 6:16 of the second period with a power play marker, but Josh Ho-Sang beat goaltender Cameron Zanussi at 15:06 to restore the two goal lead.
The IceDogs made it 4-1 early in the third thanks to a great effort by Mitchell Fitzmorris. Brendan Perlini added to the lead with his 26th goal of the season, before Bobby MacIntyre got one back for the Steelheads. The IceDogs held on to win this one 5-2, moving one step closer to grabbing home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
Brent Moran made 26 saves in the win for the IceDogs.
They're back at it Sunday afternoon against the Erie Otters. The puck drops at 3pm and the game will be broadcasted on Sportsnet.
