IceCats Renew Radio Pact

Worcester IceCats News Release


WORCESTER, MA- The Worcester IceCats today announced a renewed broadcast agreement with Central Massachusetts' radio staple WTAG. The accord guarantees an 11th season of IceCats hockey on NewsTalk 580 WTAG.

"We have been with the IceCats since day one and look forward to bringing the excitement of IceCats hockey to the listeners of Central Massachusetts for the 11th year," remarked WTAG Program Director George Brown. "With Mike Thornton beginning his sixth season as the voice of the IceCats, he has become as recognizable as any of our personalities, translating into a dedicated following of IceCats fans coming to the radio every night."

Rich Bocchini will again provide the commentary, his fourth at Thornton's side in the IceCats radio booth. The two will hit the air at 7:00 PM on October 15th, as the IceCats open the season on the road in Manchester.

Fans around the world will again be able to tune in the IceCats via worcestericecats.com, wtag.com and through webcasting network provider sportsjuice.com.
