The Winnipeg ICE opened a 10-game road trip scoring five first period goals on their way to a 7-1 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors Friday night.
Jonas Woo, Vladislav Shilo, Owen Pederson, Carson Lambos and Carson Latimer gave the ICE the early strangle hold while improving their record to 42-7-1.
Matthew Savoie and Ben Zloty added second period goals as Winnipeg outshot the Warriors 31-22.
Moose Jaw's Brayden Yager ended Daniel Hauser's shutout bid with 2:41 remaining in the third period.
Jackson Unger suffered the loss in goal allowing four goals in the opening 14:11. Justen Maric stopped 14 of 17 in relief.
The ICE are back in action tomorrow (Saturday) night at 7:00 in Regina (6:30 on CFRW 1290 AM Radio).
