ICE Select Steinhoff & Kvasnicka in WHL U.S. Priority Draft

The Winnipeg ICE are proud to announce the selection of defenceman Carson Steinhoff with the 11th overall pick in this morning's 2022 U.S. Priority Draft.

The 14 year old from Shakopee, Minnesota had 26 points (5 goals and 21 assists) in 26 games this season with Shakopee High in the Minnesota State High School Hockey League.

Last season with the Minnesota Kings U14 team, Steinhoff registered 11 points (6 goals and 5 assists).

With their second round pick, 34th overall, the ICE selected forward Jacob Kvasnicka.

The 14 year old from Burnsville, Minnesota, had 89 points (39 goals and 50 assists) in 48 games this season with the Wayzata Bantam AA team. He also registered 24 points (10 goals & 14 assists) in 15 games with the Minnesota Walleye U14 AAA team.

The ICE return to action Friday and Saturday night at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena hosting the Edmonton Oil Kings in the WHL's Eastern Conference Championship Series. Both games start at 7:00. Tickets are available online.
