Ice Flyers Host Race Night Tonight

Tonight is Race Night in the Hangar. The Ice Flyers are taking on the Mississippi RiverKings at 7:05 and all of tonight's festivities are sponsored by Dr. Mark Sprayberry of the Olive Road Pet Hospital.
The Ice Flyers are wearing special racing themed jerseys to kick off the new racing season. The jerseys will be auctioned off following the game in section 102. During the first intermission we will be hosting our second annual Wiener Dog Races on the ice.
The Ice Flyers are also teaming up with the EscaRosa Coalition on the Homeless to help out homeless people with pets. About 10% of all homeless people have cats and/or dogs and, while most homeless can find temporary housing fairly quickly, it is tough to find pet friendly temporary housing. These people choose to keep their pets and stay on the streets rather than give up their loved companions. Fans are encouraged to bring in donations to help these people during hurricane season. Suggested items are:
* Food (cat and dog) * Spill-less water/food bowls * All-sizes of harnesses * Leashes (suggested 4 ft. in length) * Dog collars * Small litter boxes * Clumping litter and litter scoops * Blankets * Food scoops * Large stackable food storage bins
These donations will be given to the EscaRosa Coalition on the Homeless to help with their Disaster Plan Program and Pet-Friendly Evacuation Centers. All fans that bring in supplies will receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win an Ice Flyers jersey.
