Ice Flyers Announce November Players of the Month

The Pensacola Ice Flyers are pleased to announce that rookie Jordan Chong has been named the Select Physical Therapy's Offensive Player of the Month for November, and returning Ice Flyer Tyler Soehner has been named the Select Physical Therapy's Defensive Players of the Month for November.
Chong had an amazing start in his debut as an Ice Flyer when he scored a hat trick, including the game-winning goal with a minute and a half left in the season opener. Since then, Chong has put up nearly a point per game with his totals at 5 goals and 5 assists in 11 games through the end of March. This places him 11th in rookie scoring; only 4 points back of 4th.
"Jordan has the speed and skill to be an impact player in this league," Coach Todd Gordon said. "He is one of my guys that I will be looking to contribute offensively all season long."
Soehner has been solid on the blue line off the start for the Ice Flyers. His consistency has earned him ice time in all situations for Coach Todd Gordon. As one of the few returning players to the Ice Flyers, he is one of the leaders on the back end. Throughout his defensive efforts on the ice this season, he has tallied a goal and added 2 helpers.
"With a year under his belt, Tyler's experience has provided our team with a dependable blue liner," Gordon added. "He is the type of defenseman that I can count on doing his job out there night in and night out."
The Ice Flyers would like to congratulate Jordan Chong and Tyler Soehner on solid starts to the 2011-2012 season.
