
Ice Dogs Re-Sign Read

Long Beach Ice Dogs News Release
LONG BEACH, Calif. â Ice Dogs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Malcolm Cameron, announced today he has agreed to terms with defenseman, Trevor Read. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 6'1", 215 pound native of Calgary, Alberta played 42 games last season for the Ice Dogs, accumulating 6 goals, 21 assists and 43 penalty minutes. He finished 5th on the team overall in scoring, and finished the year as the leading scorer among Ice Dogs defenseman. He was acquired from the Peoria Rivermen midseason, after playing the two previous seasons with the Toledo Storm.
Cameron became familiar with Read when he coached in Cincinnati and Toledo played in the same division. In 2002-2003, Toledo won the Brabham Cup, awarded annually to the team with the best regular season record in the ECHL. Cameron's Cincinnati Cyclones knocked Read and Toledo out of the playoffs that season, advancing to the Northern Conference Finals.
