Ice Dogs Gain Championship Experience

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Ice Dogs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Malcolm Cameron, announced today he has agreed to terms with forward, Paul Spadafora. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Spadafora, a 6-foot, 195 pound native of Hamilton, Ontario could prove to be a valuable asset should the Ice Dogs go deep into the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Spadafora won the Kelly Cup with the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in 2003 and played in the finals with the Trenton Titans in 2001. In 189 games with Trenton, Florida and Atlantic City, he scored 32 goals, 85 assists and had 325 penalty minutes. In 44 career ECHL playoff games, he has 28 points and 85 penalty minutes. He also played in two games with Lowell of the AHL in 2000-2001 scoring a goal, and had 34 points in 35 games last season for the Fife Flyers of the BNL.

"Paul is a tremendous competitor", said Cameron. "He's a proven winner, having been to the championship and won it. He posses those championship qualities and that's why we wanted him."

"I'm really excited about coming out to Long Beach", said Spadafora. "Malcolm runs a good program and it is obvious he has set up the team to go far in playoffs. I'm looking to come here to win another championship."

Season tickets for the 2004-2005 season are on sale now in all price ranges. Fans who pay in full by September 1st will receive an exclusive season ticket holder jersey.
