TRENTON, NJ (August 24, 2004) - The Trenton Titans announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Ryan Watson for the 2004-05 season. Per club policy, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Ryan's a big guy with soft hands and obvious offensive capability," said Mike Havliand, Titans Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations. "He's responsible on both sides of the ice and we're excited to have him."

Watson, 23, joins the Titans after two seasons with the Oklahoma City Blazers of the Central Hockey League, where he totaled 75 points (38g, 36a) and 99 penalty minutes in 108 games. The native of Lethridge, Alberta set career highs last season with the Blazers, scoring 23 goals and 21 assists over 64 games.

Now entering his third professional season, Watson split time during his last two seasons of junior hockey with the South Surrey Eagles of the British Columbia Junior Hockey League and the Drayton Valley Thunder of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, appearing in 110 games and scoring 191 points (84g, 107a).
