Cranbrook, B.C. - The Kootenay ICE (7-13-2-1) visit the Red Deer Rebels (14-5-1-0) for the second time this season on Saturday, November 17, 2018.

The ICE are coming off of a 5-0 loss to the Calgary Hitmen on Friday, November 16, 2018. The Hitmen received two goals from Ryder Korczak while Mark Kastelic, Jake Kryski and Dakota Krebs added the others. Hitmen goaltender Jack McNaughton stopped 19 shots for the shutout. ICE goaltender Duncan McGovern made 37 stops in the loss. The ICE were outshot 42-19. They went 0-for-4 on the power play, 2-for-4 on the penalty kill and won 21-of-55 face-offs.
The ICE have amassed 17 points this season, which is good for fifth in the Central Division and ninth in the Eastern Conference.
The ICE have a road record of 2-6-1-1.

The Rebels head into the Saturday's contest on a three-game winning streak, having defeated Moose Jaw, Swift Current and Kelowna. After Saturday's game, the Rebels have five days off before heading to Cranbrook and facing the ICE on Friday, November 23. Heading into Saturday's game, the Rebels are first in the Central Division and second in the Eastern Conference.
The Rebels are coming off of a 7-0 victory over the Kelowna Rockets on Friday, November 16. There were seven goal scorers in the game, which included Brandon Hagel, Dallon Melin, Chris Douglas, Reese Johnson, Jeff de Wit, Alex Morozoff and Carson Sass. Hagel led the way for the Rebels with three points (1G, 2A). The Rebels outshot Kelowna 34-28. They went 2-for-4 on the power play, 3-for-3 on the penalty kill and won 28-of-59 face-offs.
The Rebels have collected 29 points this season, which is good for first in the Central Division and second in the Eastern Conference.

HEAD TO HEAD
This will be the third meeting of the season between the ICE and the Rebels. The Rebels collected victories in the previous two meetings against the ICE. These two Central Division rivals will next meet on November 23 in Cranbrook.
