ICE Acquire Veteran Forward Jackson Leppard from Prince George

Winnipeg, MB - The Winnipeg ICE Hockey Club announced on Saturday the acquisition of 2000-born forward, Jackson Leppard from the Prince George Cougars. In exchange, the ICE send 2000-born Defenceman, Marco Creta, 2001-born Forward, Holden Kodak, a 2021 third round draft pick (WPG), 2022 third round draft pick (Red Deer) and a conditional 2020 fifth round draft pick (WPG).

Leppard, who hails from North Vancouver British Columbia, was the 8th overall pick in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft. The 6'2, 200 pound winger enters his 4th full year in the Western Hockey League. Leppard has played 177 career WHL games, scoring 28 goals and adding 42 assists for a total of 70 points.

Last season, Leppard accumulated 10 goals, 19 assists for a total of 29 points in 67 games.

Prior to the 2018-2019 season, Leppard attended training camp with the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning. In 2016-17, Leppard was selected to represent his country at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge as a member of Team Canada White.
