
Hustle 6-0 Following Victory over Herd

Memphis Hustle News Release
The Memphis Hustle (6-0), the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, defeated the previously unbeaten Wisconsin Herd (3-1) 115-104 Wednesday at Oshkosh Arena. Memphis now is one of two undefeated teams in the NBA G League and the only unbeaten team in the Western Conference.
Dakota Mathias scored 26 points, making six of his eight 3-point attempts, while Kenneth Lofton Jr. added 23 points and nine rebounds for the Hustle, who are off to their best start since winning the first 10 games of their 2019-20 campaign. Jake LaRavia added 17 points.
Lindell Wigginton led Wisconsin with 20 points, while Iverson Molinar followed with 19 points. Jontay Porter recorded a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Jacob Gilyard tallied 13 assists for Memphis, which registered 36 points on their 46 baskets and shot 50.5 percent from the field. The Hustle had 13 assists, including seven from Gilyard, to just one turnover during a 36-24 first quarter that saw Mathias net 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting.
The Hustle expanded a five-point halftime advantage to 14 at the end of the third quarter and built its lead as large as 22 points in the fourth period.
Memphis now has won 12 of its last 13 games dating back to the 2022 Showcase Cup. The Hustle have won their last 10 away from home dating back to a Nov. 19 victory over Rio Grande Valley.
The Hustle will look to sweep a four-game road trip when they take on the Iowa Energy at 3 p.m. CT on Sunday, Jan. 15, at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
