Clippers Sweep Squadron Behind Boston's Huge Night

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (4-3), the NBA G League affiliate of the LA Clippers, defeated the Birmingham Squadron (1-7), 126-106, to sweep the two-game set on Wednesday night.

Brandon Boston Jr. and Xavier Moon combined for 77 points in the victory. Boston Jr., on assignment from the LA Clippers, led all scorers with a season-high 43 points on 16-22 FGM (6-8 3PM). Moon added 34 points on 11-16 FGM (4-7 FGM) off the Clippers' bench.

Jason Preston, also on assignment from LA, added a complete 20-point (8-11 FGM), seven-assist, and six-rebound performance.

Birmingham was led by Kelan Martin's 25 points on 9-15 FGM (4-7 3PM). Javonte Smart contributed with 23 points on 9-15 FGM (5-9 3PM).

The game was dominated by Ontario from start to finish, as the Clippers held the advantage the entire way through. The Clippers' lead would grow to as much as 36 on the night, shooting 53.5 percent from the field (46-86 FGM) and 46.9 percent from distance (15-32 3PM) along the way.

Birmingham played well, shooting 41-81 from the field (50.6 percent) and 11-34 from the three-point line (32.4 percent), but allowed 27 points off 18 turnovers and couldn't keep up with the Ontario attack.

Next up, the Clippers return to the court for the second night in a row as they host the Iowa Wolves on Thursday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm PST inside the Toyota Arena.
