
Birmingham Completes West Coast Road Trip With 126-106 Loss To Ontario

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Birmingham Squadron dropped its Wednesday night road matchup with the Ontario Clippers, 126-106, at Toyota Arena.
Kelan Martin, Birmingham's leading scorer on the season, led the Squadron (1-7) in scoring for the third straight game with 25 and Javonte Smart pitched in 23 points. Zylan Cheatham led the way for Birmingham in both rebounding (seven) and assists (four).
Ontario (4-3) was paced by Brandon Boston, Jr.'s 43 points, while Alabama native Xavier Moon threw in 34 from off the bench.
The Clippers led from start-to-finish and held as large as a 36-point advantage during the first half of Wednesday's game.
The Squadron return to the hardwood on Friday for the first of five consecutive home contests at Legacy Arena at the BJCC. Friday's matchup features Birmingham and the visiting Salt Lake City Stars and the game can be seen locally on My68 WABM or nationally on NBAGLeague.com.
