Hurricanes to Recall Forward Zac Dalpe

RALEIGH, NC - Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team will recall forward Zac Dalpe from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL). Dalpe's recall is on an emergency basis for Patrick Dywer, who suffered an injury during Monday night's game against New Jersey.

Dalpe, 22, has skated in nine NHL games for the Hurricanes this season, averaging 6:07 of ice time per game. The Paris, Ont., native has scored four goals and added four assists in 18 AHL games for Charlotte this season. Selected by Carolina in the second round, 45th overall, of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Dalpe (6'1", 195 lbs.) has totaled four points (3g, 1a) in 24 career games on the NHL level for the Hurricanes.
