Hurricanes Cut Two

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Tuesday that they have trimmed their roster by two as they have re-assigned defenseman Landon Fuller and forward Michael Horon.

Fuller, 19, was acquired by the 'Canes in August from the Tri -City Americans. The rearguard appeared in four pre-season games for the Hurricanes going pointless with 12 penalty minutes and a plus-4 rating. The Williams Lake, BC product will return to the Coquitlam Express of the British Columbia Hockey League.

Horon, 17, also appeared in four exhibition games and was held pointless with a plus-1 rating. The Lethbridge product will return to the Lethbridge Midget AAA Hurricanes team where he will play for Hurricanes President Doug Paisley. Horon had 30 points (12g-18a) and 24 penalty minutes last year with the Midget AAA Hurricanes helping them to a Telus Cup appearance.

The Hurricanes now have a total of 26 players on their roster, including 14 forwards, nine defenseman and three goaltenders.

The 'Canes will open the 2018 -2019 regular season this Friday, September 21st when they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers in the Dairy Queen Home Opener. Tickets can be purchased online, by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328) or by visiting the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre. Tickets can also be purchased at Lethbridge Dairy Queen locations, while supplies last.
