T-Birds Renew Broadcast Partnership with IHeart Media Seattle

KENT - The Seattle Thunderbirds and iHeart Media Seattle are pleased to announce they have renewed their partnership agreement to broadcast T-Birds games for two more years with a third-year option.

All T-Birds regular season and playoff games will be broadcast on 1090 KJR and streamed on 1090KJR.iheart.com. Play-by-play voice Thom Beuning is entering his 18th season calling T-Birds games. There is the possibility some regular season and playoff games will be broadcast on 950 KJR.

"We are very happy to renew our partnership with iHeart Media Seattle," said Colin Campbell, T-Birds Vice President. "They have been instrumental in growing our game and reaching new fans."

1090 KJR will also continue to broadcast a half hour weekly Coach's Show with T-Birds head coach Matt O'Dette. The Coach's Show will be heard every Thursday during the season from 6:00pm to 6:30pm. The Coach's Show will be hosted by T-Birds play-by-play voice Thom Beuning and will take a weekly in-depth look at the team. The Coach's Show will also feature Beuning talking with WHL and NHL connected hockey guests. The first Coach's Show this season will air on 1090 KJR on Thursday, September 20.

The T-Birds will continue the practice of inserting Beuning's goal calls from the 1090 KJR broadcast into the Game Recaps found on the team's website.

As part of the partnership agreement the iHeart Radio stations in Seattle will be heavily involved with the T-Birds promotional and giveaway nights this season.

The T-Birds finished the preseason with a 4-3-0-0 record.

The T-Birds start the 2018-19 Western Hockey League regular season against the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday, September 22 at 6:05pm at the ShoWare Center.

T-Birds single game tickets for the 2018-19 regular season are on sale online on the T-Birds website and at the accesso ShoWare Center box office.
