
Hurricanes Acquire Carrier from Pats

LETHBRIDGE, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club announced Wednesday the acquisition of 2002-born forward Cole Carrier from the Regina Pats in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick in the 2023 Western Hockey League Prospects Draft.
Carrier, 19, was originally selected by the Kelowna Rockets in the fourth-round (71st overall) in the 2017 WHL Draft. The product of Strathcona, AB registered a career-high 27 points (15g-12a) along with 26 penalty minutes in 65 games with the Pats in 2021-2022 finishing eighth in team scoring and fifth in goals.
The 5'11, 178-pound forward has appeared in 109 career games with the Rockets and Pats collecting 36 points (19g-17a) and 47 penalty minutes. Carrier registered two assists against the Hurricanes in six games last year.
The to-be overage forward joins Alex Thacker, Jett Jones and Bryan Thomson as the 2002-born players on the Hurricanes projected roster.
