Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats Hockey Club announced Wednesday that they have traded 2002-born forward Cole Carrier to the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for a 2023 sixth-round pick.

Carrier, 19, appeared in 65 games with the Pats this past season, scoring a career-high 15 goals along with 12 assists for 27 points. The Strathcona, Alta. native was originally acquired from the Kelowna Rockets on January 10, 2020, in exchange for a sixth-round pick and a conditional eighth-round pick. The 5-foot-11, 178 lb. forward registered 35 points (19G-16A) in 101 games over parts of three seasons with the Pats, spanning from 2020-22. His biggest highlight with the Pats came on November 23, 2021, when he potted a natural hat-trick against the Medicine Hat Tigers, scoring in three different ways (power play, short-handed and even strength).

"[Carrier] was a solid player in many areas during his time with the Pats," Regina Pats Head Coach and GM John Paddock said. "We would like to thank him for his contributions to the organization and wish him well in the future."

The Regina Pats will be hosting their 2022 Spring Camp from June 10-12 at the Co-Operators Centre, with on-ice sessions taking place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday.
