FAYETTEVILLE, N.C - The Wilson Tobs came storming back from a seven run hole and scored eight unanswered runs to down the Fayetteville SwampDogs, 8-7 on Thursday night at J.P. Riddle Stadium.

Wilson (3-2, 12-21) turned around a one-run deficit in the eighth inning when Aaron Rea drove in the go-ahead run on a double to right field which plated Collins Cuthrell who doubled to the gap in right centerfield to score the tying run.

The Tobs finally revived their stagnant offense in the fifth inning as they trailed by seven runs at 7-0, but after loading the bases with one out against Max McDonald, the Tobs scored four runs on a couple of base hits as the right-hander was lifted from the game.

However, the big hit of the frame was a two-run double by Harry Slade which extended his hitting streak to a season-high nine games and after five frames, Wilson pulled to within a run at 7-6.

Fayetteville (2-1, 20-11) went ahead by a seven run margin with a huge four-run fourth inning against Wilson starter Zeke McGranahan. The SwampDogs used two walks, a hit batter and a pair of McGranahan wild pitches to take the lead before the righty was lifted from the contest.

Christian Oliver (W, 1-0) worked six in relief of McGranahan without allowing a run and fanning six to earn the one-run, 8-7 victory for the Tobs.

Wilson is back inside Historic Fleming Stadium on tomorrow night at 7:05 when they welcome in the Wilmington Sharks.

The Wilson Tobs are a proud member of the Coastal Plain League, the nation's hottest summer collegiate baseball league.
