Houston Recalls Shawn Legault from Austin

HOUSTON - Houston Aeros President and General Manager Dave Barr announced today forward Shawn Legault (lah-go) has been recalled from the Austin Ice Bats (Central Hockey League).

Legault, 25 (5/22/77), has played in 31 games with Austin and totaled 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points with 197 penalty minutes. He was originally signed to a contract by the Aeros and assigned to Austin on October 23. The Legal, Alberta-native is playing in his fifth pro season. He spent the majority of the past two years with the Elmira Jackals (United Hockey League) and played in 131 games totaling 13-25-38 and 778 penalty minutes. He also played 13 games with Syracuse (American Hockey League) and collected 87 penalty minutes. Legault spent his first two seasons as a pro with Austin. In 122 games, he tallied 2-11-13 and 413 penalty minutes. He attended training camp with Houston in 1999.

Legault will join the Aeros for their trip to Manitoba and Chicago and will wear #23. Houston plays the Moose on Wednesday and Friday at 7:30 PM before heading to Chicago on Saturday. Saturday's game will be televised on KTBU-55 "The Tube" at 7:00 PM.
