Houston Dynamo FC News Release
HOUSTON - Houston Dynamo defender José Bizama was named to the Chilean National Team for a pair of upcoming friendly matches, the Football Federation of Chile (ANFP) announced earlier this week.
Chile will face South American rival Argentina at the Los Angeles Coliseum on Sept. 5 and five days later Bizama will travel to Central America for a friendly against Honduras and Dynamo teammates Alberth Elis and Maynor Figueroa.
The outside back joined Houston during the summer transfer window on July 11 and has started two games for the Dynamo after receiving his visa at the beginning of the month. Bizama has earned three caps with the Chilean National Team over the last 14 months. He made his debut for the two-time Copa América champions on May 31, 2018 in a friendly against Romania. The 25-year-old also saw action in a 1-0 win over Serbia on June 4, 2018 and in a 2-2 draw with Poland on June 8, 2018.
The Dynamo travel to Kansas this weekend to face Sporting Kansas City on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. CDT before taking a break for the FIFA international fixture window.
