Hounds Home Opener Tonight Against Rocky Mountain Rage

Youngstown, Ohio---- The Youngstown SteelHounds will begin their home portion of their schedule tonight against the expansion Rocky Mountain Rage. The rematch will be played tomorrow night with both face-offs scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

The SteelHounds will attempt to go for their third straight win as they take a 2-0-0 record going into tonight's game against Rocky Mountain. The two wins at Memphis came on the strength of Chris Richards, who will look to continue his hot start as he tallied a 7 point weekend in Memphis (4-3=7). Second year captain Jeff Christian also began his season with a modest 2 goals and 3 assists equaling 5 points.

The Rage come to the Chevrolet Centre with momentum and a 1-0-0 after holding on to beat one of the perennial playoff teams in the league, the Colorado Eagles. The Rage, 5-4 winners at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado, got their game winning goal late in the second period by Craig Olynick at the 18:10 mark. Rocky Mountain netminder David Guerrera, stood tall for the rest of the contest stopping all 13 shots the Eagles put on net in the final frame.
