October 19, 2007 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Youngstown SteelHounds News Release

Tonight marks the season opener as the Hounds take on the Oklahoma City Blazers at 8:35pm. These two teams fought to the final day of regular season play last year to determine the fourth seed which ended up in the hands of Oklahoma City. The Hounds announced earlier today the acquisition of Petr Pohl and Kevin Jarman from the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch. They will take the spots of Alex Beatrice and Chris Rebernik who have been waived by the team.

The Hounds will be led by captain Chris Richards who is making his debut as the SteelHounds player/assistant coach. The Blazers are led by captain Tyler Fleck and Head Coach Doug Sauter who is the winningest coach in CHL history with over 400 regular season victories in 12 seasons.

Reminder that tonight's game will be broadcasted on WSOM AM 600.

What's Next: The Hounds travel to the DeSoto Civic Center to take on the Mississippi RiverKings at 8:05pm. That game will be back on WBBW - ESPN Radio 1240.
