Bowling Green, KY - Steeped in a tight playoff race for the First Half Eastern Division Wild Card, the Hot Rods have a chance to secure a postseason berth during the upcoming weekend series at Bowling Green Ballpark. The Hot Rods will welcome the Fort Wayne TinCaps to town for the final three games of the first half of the 2012 campaign. Below is a listing of the exciting events, promotions, and activities at Bowling Green Ballpark for this three-game series from June 15-June 17.

Friday, June 15 - 7:05 PM:

Christian Family Radio Faith and Family Night - a night of fellowship and baseball, featuring a pre-game faith discussion with a Hot Rods player and a concert by national Christian recording artist Carlos Whittaker

Father's Day and a Kid's Club Sunday - Postgame activities include "Having a catch" with dad and the Smucker's Uncrustables Fun Run

Fort Wayne TinCaps Team Notes:

This is the first series between the Hot Rods and TinCaps at Bowling Green Ballpark this season

Fort Wayne Manager Jose Valentin played in the Major Leagues with Milwaukee, Chicago (AL), Los Angeles (NL), and New York (NL)

Pitching Coach Willie Blair and Hitting Coach Jacque Jones also played in the Major Leagues

The team name derives from the "tin cap" of former Fort Wayne resident Johnny Appleseed
